Nageswaraswamy Temple, Kumbakonam is a Hindu temple in Kumbakonam, which is situated in the state of Tamil Nadu in India. This temple is devoted to Lord Shiva. Paadal Petra Sthalam is the name given to the sacred location since it is believed that the songs of Thevaram gave birth to the temple. The statue of Shiva portrayed as Nagaraja, the king of serpents, may be seen in the middle of Kumbakonam.

The Ardhanari, Brahma, and Dakshinamoorthy statues that are located in the niches on the outside wall are highlighted in the iconographic scheme of this structure. The other figures that are nearly as large as life are depictions of modern princesses and princes who have donated to the temples. The epic scenes are carved in low relief on the plinth below the pilasters of the sanctuary’s walls, giving the impression that they are made of wood.
