Jaldapara and Gorumara National Parks are home to West Bengal’s GIOH Rhinoceros population of 289, as estimated by the latest Population Estimate Exercise – 2019.
Located in the Alipurduar Subdivision of the Jalpaiguri district in West Bengal lies the pristine wilderness of Jaldapara National Park, which borders the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas. At 216 square km in size, Jaldapara National Park is home to towering grasslands, perennial streams, and the sandy banks of the Sandu River.
Jaldapara is located close to a number of rivers, including the Torsa, malangi, Hollong, Sissamara, and others. Widespread Grassland houses Mammals, Reptiles, Birds, and Amphibians in the Sanctuary.

Jaldapara National Park is at its most beautiful in the months of September, October, November, December, March, and May. The greatest time to visit Jaldapara is during the winter and the beginning of summer.
